The 6800+™ modular interface platform defines the world standard in meeting the operational needs in broadcast television applications: breadth of functions, multi-format flexibility, space conservation, and integrated control/monitoring. Consisting of hundreds of module options, 6800+ provides core functions of fiber optic transport, distribution, conversion, encoding/decoding, multiplexing/demultiplexing, compression, synchronization and more. 6800+ complements the NEO® advanced modular platform where NEO is used for highly integrated modular applications or unique applications that generally require stand-alone platforms.

6800+ offers a choice of frames, from a desktop form factor to the popular rackmount form factor that includes various control options, including SNMP and HTTP with an on-board web server. The 6800+´s rich set of input/output interfaces includes: HD, SDI, DVB-ASI, fiber optic, analog video/audio, AES/EBU (balanced and unbalanced), as well as legacy 6800 modules. With superior capacity, power capability and cooling, up to 20 single-wide modules can fit in one 2RU frame. 6800+ maximizes valuable rack space while providing hot-swap ease of modules and PSUs. PSU´s optionally come in AC or DC formats, including mixing and matching options.

The 6800+ platform provides comprehensive control and monitoring at the lowest cost. Up to four frames can be controlled and monitored with only a single PC on network connection. Full compatibility with Harris's Command Control System (CCS™) means real-time, secure, centralized control/monitoring of 6800+ alone, or integrated with other Harris and third-party CCS-compatible equipment, from workstation(s) located anywhere on the network. Additionally, the 6800+ offers optional SNMP support, direct to the frame, with support of both SNMP v1 and SNMP v2c. SNMP support enables facility-wide monitoring applications and offers an industry-standard interface to address interoperability between multiple vendors.
